Hiwassee RiverHiwassee River

Spectacular forested hillsides and pastoral river bottoms compliment the beauty of Hiwassee River Gorge.

Rafting, canoeing and hiking are popular year-round activities.

Enjoy a scenic drive along the River: from Delano turn off US 411 onto TN 30, cross the river on TN 315 then turn onto winding FR 108. Stop at Hood Mountain Overlook for a great long-distance view of the river.

This vicinity is known for world class whitewater and the 1996 Olympic Canoe/Kayak Slalom course. The Ocoee Whitewater Center lies alongside the Olympic course.

Tellico RiverBald River Falls

Nearly 30,000 acres of remote backcountry surround river corridors in this vicinity. Long-distance Benton MacKaye Trail offers day hiking and backpacking opportunities through the southwestern portion of this vicinity.
